The Goddess Who Dove Through the Sapphire & Emerald Door ... continued ...
As Creation Goddess danced upon the waves, she whispered to the Sun in the circle at the bottom of the Sea, “Rise my love, rise!” Goddess loved Sun and Sun loved Goddess. They were lovers who had wandered together through the infinite, invisible timeless space forever.
Goddess’ whisper ignited Sun, and Sun rose through the waters. Sun rose with his powerful white light aflame with joy in loving Goddess. Sun flamed into the jewel of the Goddess’ body. He hummed in her fecundity. Sun rose through Goddess and was born from her into the salty, foamy air, into the lapis lazuli Sky. In waves upon waves of diamond light, Sun was born into the sapphire and emerald world, and Goddess and Sun embraced!
When Goddess and Sun embraced, a jewel rose inside, thejewel of singing. “I love you,” they sang to the jewel of singing and the jewel of singing awoke and came alive, and Goddess and Sun sang!
On the surface of the Sea where all had been silent, all now whispered and hummed and blazed with the voice of the Sun and the voice of the Goddess. Goddess and Sun fell in love with the jewel of singing inside themselves and each other, and their song became one song. Their song fell deep and their song rose high…it whispered in the glowing crystals and corals at the bottom of the Sea, it hummed in the dance of lapis lazuli… their song blazed through the sapphire and emerald world, and the jewel of singing awoke and came alive!
As Creation Goddess and the Sun fell deeper and deeper in love with the jewel of singing, Sun rose higher and higher into Sky, and Goddess sang upon the waters. Sun sang his diamond frequencies farther and farther across the Magnificent Oceans of Earth. Creation Goddess smiled, feeling the Sun seeds Sun had given her as he hummed in her fecundity. Both Sun and Goddess knew they were one. Goddess listened to Sun’s diamond song burn brighter and brighter as she sang upon the Sea, and was filled with love.
As the Goddess sang upon the Sea, rings of rainbow colors rippled under her feet. The lush, soft, rich, moist colors of opal. She knew these colors flowed from the divine messenger, her dear friend Moon. Each color was a syllable, a sound, a rhythm, a word. Creation Goddess called out in delight, “Rise opalescent Moon, rise!” And Moon rose.
Moon rose through the waters, and then she rose through Goddess. She rose through the jewel of the Goddess’ body, planting lush, soft, rich, moist divine messages. Succulent, shining seeds of song, story and poetry that Moon had carried from the infinite, invisible, timeless space especially for Goddess. They would blossom and bear fruit one day.
Moon grew more and more succulent and opalescent as she rose through Goddess and when she was full, Moon was born from Goddess. She lay huge and shining in Creation Goddess’ hands, spilling her light and the light of Goddess into Sea and Sky. In this light, a jewel stirred. The Goddess and the Moon embraced this jewel. Each color was a syllable, a sound, a rhythm, a word, a breath, a flight, the jewel of writing. “I love you,” they whispered to the jewel of writing and the jewel of writing awoke and came alive, it poured forth the Moon’s and the Goddess’ light!
Creation Goddess and the Moon began to write with this light. Words of light spilled from their fingers, and floated in the air. Each word breathed into Sky, and Sky breathed with each word. How Creation Goddess and the Moon delighted as they wrote in the salty, foamy air, in the lapis lazuli Sky!
Suddenly, their syllables, their sounds, their rhythms, their flight, began to quiver, to pulse, to metamorphose. Goddess and Moon watched in wonder as from the floating, breathing words the living, breathing body of a Bird was born! They watched in wonder as all the words trembled into Birds, till there was a flock of large winged beings pulsing in the air around them. The Birds hummed with lush, soft, rich, moist, radiance. They floated in the Sky as if dreaming.
Slowly, the Birds awoke and came alive. Goddess and Moon watched their feathers fluttering, wings flapping, beaks and eyes opening and closing. Every part of them humming with succulent, shining, opalescent liquid light. Then, they began to sing a Beautiful Song.
The Birds opened their wings wide, and soared in the Sky singing their Beautiful Song. Goddess and Moon were filled with their Song. Goddess and Moon reached out to embrace the Birds, but with a sparkle in their eyes the Birds flew higher and higher, and then began flying over the Sea.
Moon rose with the Birds into the Sky. She rose high above Creation Goddess’ hands, spilling the light of her divine messages farther and farther across the Magnificent Oceans of Earth, and Creation Goddess wrote upon the waters. Goddess smiled, feeling the Moon seeds Moon had planted in her. Both Moon and Goddess knew they were one. As Creation Goddess saw the opalescent colors of the Moon and the Birds flickering in the distance, she wrote poetry in the Sky, filled with inspiration.
As Creation Goddess wrote I love you in the Sky, she suddenly felt warm. She looked down through the waters and saw her beautiful sister, rose-colored Star shining up at her. Then, she saw many Stars shining up at her. Stars were the last Radiant Beings who’d not yet risen from the bottom of the Sea. Stars carried the seventh and last jewel. Creation Goddess sang, “Rise, beautiful Star Beings, rise!” And the Star Beings rose.
But Stars didn’t rise through the jewel of the Goddess’ body as Sky, Sun, and Moon had. Stars rose through the waters, and were birthed from the waves. Stars were different. The seventh jewel was different. Goddess watched as rose-colored Star and then all the magnificent, many-colored Stars gracefully and playfully leapt through the waters into the sapphire and emerald world. They stood around her beaming their smiling, beautiful, hot, buoyant, crystalline colors. The Goddess and the Stars embraced each other with light and laughter. They went skipping, leaping, whirling and twirling, dancing together so gracefully and playfully over the sapphire and emerald waves. How Stars loved to play! And so did Creation Goddess!
After a while, Stars and Goddess gathered in a circle. They became quiet and still. They knew it was time to ignite the seventh jewel. They breathed deep. Stars began to give Goddess their light, and Goddess received the many-colored light of Stars. The jewels inside Goddess ignited as Stars poured their molten radiance upon her. The light of the Stars poured through Goddess in colors and shapes she’d not known before. In colors and shapes beyond the jewels she carried, and yet containing all the jewels she carried. Her light merged with the Stars’ light and the jewels inside Goddess ignited even more.
Suddenly, Creation Goddess and the Stars knew, this merging is the magic and the beauty and the mystery of the seventh jewel! Hot magma colors of creation began to pour from both Goddess and Stars. And they knew, this is our paint and they embraced the seventh jewel, the jewel of painting. “I love you,” they sang to the jewel of painting and the jewel of painting awoke and came alive! And Creation Goddess and the Stars began to paint with the hot magma colors of creation! They painted in the salty foamy air, in the lapis lazuli Sky. They painted on the sapphire and emerald waves.
Their paint was the creation blood ignited in them, their paint was the jeweled light flowing through them. They fell in love with the jewel of painting, and the love inside them and the love that wanted to come through them, was born. And so it was that Dolphins, Whales, Sea Turtles, Seagulls, Angel Fish, Star Fish, Sea Anemones, Sea Lions, Conches, Nautiluses, Rainbows and Clouds awoke and came alive in the sapphire and emerald world!
As Creation Goddess and Stars fell deeper and deeper in love with the jewel of painting, Stars painted higher and higher above the Sea, and Goddess painted upon the waters. The jeweled light of the Stars twinkled farther and farther across the Magnificent Oceans of Earth. Creation Goddess smiled, feeling the Star seeds Stars had given her as their molten light poured through her. Both Stars and Goddess knew they were one. Goddess listened to Stars laughing in the distance as she played, as she painted, and was filled with peace.
As Angel Fish swam and Dolphins leapt, as Sea Lions bathed and Star Fish slept, Creation Goddess lay down upon the waters to rest. She fell asleep, but suddenly awoke. Earth’s fiery emerald heart was beating loud and close! Earth’s heart was pounding through the waters, pounding in her heart. Around Creation Goddess waves began to swell and winds began to blow. Fierce currents surged from deep below.
The Goddess of Sea emerged, stilling the waters and enveloping Creation Goddess in calm even as she told her, “The waters and winds are becoming tumultuous now, for Earth is giving birth to one of her children, a fiery emerald Mountain! It will become stormy. But when Earth’s child is born it will be peaceful and calm, and you will have a Mountain to dance on, if you desire. You can choose to step onto Mountain. You can choose to travel back and forth between Sea and Earth, if you desire. What do you wish, Creation Goddess?”
Creation Goddess trembled with excitement and a voice inside whispered “yes!” and she cried, “I wish to step onto Mountain, and to travel back and forth between Sea and Earth, and to always be close to you!”
The Goddess of the Sea smiled at the Goddess who had dove through the sapphire and emerald door and said, “All you wish shall be so Creation Goddess! And that you may always feel the breath of Sea upon you no matter where you are, I will weave for you my fabric of shimmering blue jewels. I will make you a radiant gown!” As Sea said this, the beautiful blue light she emitted began streaming powerfully from her hands.
Sea spun her light around Creation Goddess. Sea wove the shimmering fertile fabric of her ever-flowing tenderness, beauty, power, wisdom, and love around Goddess. Around and around Creation Goddess Sea danced, weaving the beautiful blue light streaming from her hands into a radiant gown.
When the gown was finished, it breathed with a vast, undulant grace, as if carrying the breath of creation. Then, the radiant blues streaming from Sea’s hands turned to fiery greens, and she wove from it an emerald light veil.
How Creation Goddess loved her radiant gown and fiery veil! Her eyes filled with tears of joy and she cried, “Thank you, Goddess of the Sea, Mother of crystals and corals and all that dwells within the sapphire and emerald flow, including me!” The Goddess of Sea embraced Creation Goddess as Earth’s heart beat loud and close and she sang, “My sister, the Goddess of Earth calls me and I must go. Hold on, my precious Goddess child!” Sea’s sapphire skin glistened, her dark amethyst eyes sparkled, as the waters began to swirl. Then, she dove down into the Ocean, followed by her long, silvery hair woven with pearls.
The Ocean was no longer calm. Earth’s fiery emerald heart beat loud and close. Earth’s heart pounded through the waters, pounded in Creation Goddess’ heart. The waves swelled high and the winds blew cold. Fierce currents surging from deep below saturated the edges of her gown. Goddess wrapped herself tightly in the emerald light veil and held on. All at once the veil awoke and came alive! It stretched and billowed like a sturdy sail and transformed into a powerful, floating, crystalline orb. The orb lifted Creation Goddess high above the waves.
Creation Goddess sat dry and warm within the orb, watching the storm.
The Goddess of Sea emerged again. She stood tall and steady, her beautiful blue light streaming into the powerful waves and winds dancing around her. She began to sing. Her song wove together the song of the waves and the winds, the song of Earth’s fiercely beating heart and the Mountain’s rising heart too, till they were one song, one song of birth.
When it was time a cry of joy burst forth from the bottom of the Sea. It spilled molten liquid light spinning from Earth’s core through the currents. This cry was Earth’s birth cry of joy. It filled Creation Goddess with ecstasy. And Mountain was lifted up through the Sea, with joy. And Mountain was lifted up to Sky, with joy. And Creation Goddess and the Goddess of Sea cried in joy with the Goddess of Earth, as Mountain was born into the sapphire and emerald world!
Creation Goddess floated down in the orb and the orb touched the Mountain and became a veil again, and Goddess stepped onto earth. How the emerald crystals at the top of Mountain sparkled in the light! They radiated an affectionate warmth, and Goddess remembered Earth’s smile. Goddess sat upon the earth, her back against a crystal. She breathed with Mountain, and Mountain breathed with her. Mountain rose higher and higher till it had risen to a place high above the Sea, and its roots began to grow.
Creation Goddess sat on the top of Mountain where soft, undulant rays of light grew instead of grasses, flowers, bushes or trees. She breathed deep. She took from her hair the wondrous pearl Sea had given her. She laid the living, awoken jewel upon the glowing ground. The pearl sank into emerald light, disappearing from sight.
Creation Goddess walked to the edge of the Mountain. She moved with a deep, joyful ease, for she carried the jewels of creation. She stood looking out over Sea, filled with happiness. Suddenly, Goddess saw flying in the distance the opalescent Birds! They were flying towards Mountain, flying towards her. Creation Goddess could feel the Birds’ hearts beating full of love, as if her own heart soared with them. Her eyes filled with tears of love as the Birds flew closer and closer. She wanted so much to touch their wings and welcome their Beautiful Song.
When the Birds arrived on Mountain they flew into Creation Goddess’ arms. As they embraced she noticed something she’d not seen when they were first born. The Birds were not only the opalescent colors of Moon, but the colors of Sky, Sun, and Stars. As Creation Goddess and the Birds smiled into each other’s eyes, she felt as if the Radiant Beings she’d wandered with and made promises with in the infinite, invisible, timeless space were smiling back at her!
The light growing beneath Creation Goddess’ feet began to whisper. Goddess and Birds turned to see a luminous white stem dancing from the earth. Emerging from the place Goddess had lain the pearl. Creation Goddess and the Birds gathered around the living, awoken jewel. They gathered around it, not knowing what it would become, and began to sing their first Beautiful Song together in the sapphire and emerald world.
They had promised themselves and each other that the jewels they carried inside would awaken and come alive and they knew it would be so, and it was so.
